Brittle

about

New single from pecq.

Brittle is about planned obsolescence - a lonely machine singing from the dump realising it was designed to die before its time. It was originally written for a surround-sound and video installation made of a bunch of abandoned tellies. The music video is the second part of a four-part series, following the same character on a journey through each track of an upcoming EP.

lyrics

No-one told me
My time is borrowed
Brittle pieces
Won’t last for tomorrow

I’m not ready
To be in your past
Another broken object
And heart

What d’you want
What d’you need
What d’you want
What d’you need
In the end

I can change
I could stay
Let me live out my days
In the end
In the end

Come on love let’s
Build this to last
Come on love let’s
Build this to last

What d’you want
What d’you need
What d’you want
What d’you need
In the end

What d’you want
What d’you need
What d’you want
What d’you need
In the end

I can change
I could stay
Let me live out my days
In the end
In the end
